IMPROVING TRANSPORT IN THE NORWICH AREA – BUSINESS QUESTIONNAIRE

Norfolk County Council is currently in the process of consulting on the Norwich Area Transportation Strategy (NATS)click here for Norwich Area Transport Business Consultation

Opposite you will find a briefing document which provides information on a range of transport measures being proposed. The Strategy includes the Northern Distributor Road (NDR) and an associated package of improvements to public transport, walking and cycling. The NDR, when introduced as part of a wide ranging implementation plan, will help to reduce through traffic from the main roads into the city and from the ring roads. We will then have the potential to provide real improvements to public transport, walking and cycling. A significant scheme we are promoting is the introduction of Bus Rapid Transit along key routes into the city, which will provide high quality buses running every ten minutes with quicker and more reliable journey times.

Although needed to resolve existing problems, the NDR also means that the area is better able to cope with the housing and employment growth that has been allocated to Greater Norwich by the Government through the Regional Spatial Strategy.

We would like to understand the social and economic impacts of NATS and feedback from businesses is an important part of this. As such, we would be very grateful if you could take the time to follow the link below and complete the online questionnaire.

A key decision on the NDR is expected from the Government during December, which makes an early response to this survey particularly important. For this reason the deadline for receipt of completed questionnaires is

Friday 6 November
